16sixty accessories are an absolute must this summer. Our new range of earrings and necklaces are proving to be hot items and we're updating the collection week by week. When it comes to accessories, a girl can sometimes overdo the blingish necessaries. And of course if you don't have a disposable 100 grand for the hoped for diamond studded-gold-celebrity bling, our collection will certainly appeal to your sense of fashion and style.

Fashion Passion
I'd just
like to say a real big warm welcome to Verity and Joshua who've just joined us
here at 16sixty. They're our new photographers, Video makers and marketing
assistants who're going to be coming up with great ideas that will definitely
see 16sixty up there among the best of the best.
Behind the
scenes, we're busy getting the new seasons items in as summer is definitely on
its way, (despite the tendency for the great British weather to throw a spanner
or two in the works occasionally).
We're just
getting ready for a major photo-shoot at the end of the month so we're all
excited to get some new hot models and hot photos. Interested in taking part?
Let us know.

The Beauty Game
Is Keira Knightley the new Audrey Hepburn?
Or is such a
question hopelessly outdated? Can we really compare the quality of beauty of a woman like Marilyn Monroe to that of Grace
Jones? (Both being powerful symbols of not just beauty but sexiness and
sensuality for good measure) or maybe even Angelina Jolie to Dolly Parton,
(albeit a younger version of Dolly, bless her little pink rhinestone heart).
We can go on and on about comparisons between beautiful
women but eventually we have to come back down to the bottom line - what does
beauty mean. Does it have a tangible
meaning beyond our vanity driven world and if so what is the meaning of
something as nebulous as a perfect face, body and so on? And should we
subscribe to such narrow views as propagated by Hollywood and celebritydom.
Despite what
some might want to get off on, in my world at any rate, beauty is an expression
of an idealised state of mind and not just about a Marilyn nose, Joliesque
lips, or a Knightley body. It has
something to do with how you walk, the things you say and the light that
sparkles in a person's eyes that says, 'somebody
is home' and maybe, importantly, beauty is being able to appreciate and to
express something that connects you and me to everything else. Therefore beauty
can be seen in context of wider circles and not just our own personal circle of
vanity for 1.
Beauty is ephemeral
and because of its nature, it changes like the seasons. However, it is just
that we sometimes can't seem to change and adapt to new models of beauty at
times.

Blonde or Brunette? That's the question...
It's not just celebs like Rhianna, but have you ever gotten
real fed up of your hair colour and felt too frightened to make the change? There's
a lot of useful and easy to use hair dyes and colours out there on the market
but it can be quite daunting without the help of an expert hairdresser. Take my
sister, the other day she came in excitedly with the idea of adding blonde tint
to her hair and before you know it, rushed into the bathroom with a small
packet of hair 'stuff'. I half expected the shriek of dismay when it came
echoing downstairs. "My hair"! she wailed. I suppressed the laughter,
as best I could.
There goes her Rhianna wannabe blonde hair. Why bother with
all the fuss and mess when you can sit relaxed in your hairdresser's chair and
let him do all the hard work. Then, you have someone to scream at if it all
goes wrong. At least that's my take on it anyway.
Posh Not Ordinary
Posh Not Ordinary
Whether you can afford to buy a frock from Victoria Beckham's vogueish fashion collection or not, one thing is for sure, she's certainly raking it in. Her new collection (like the last one) doesn't seem to consider ordinary folk outside the realms of celebrity-ville who might be unable to shift the obligatory bulge or two that comes with not having a perfect, pencil thin, super-model shape. There's fashion for the ordinary and then there's fashion for celebrities and style chasers who can fork out a casual four or five grand for a frock that will probably be worn two or three times and then relegated to the wardrobe of fashion disasters dustbin.
Still, that's what high fashion brings to the table; choice on what to spend your money on, if you can afford it.
